New business recycling program available in Marblehead, MA

Eric Z Disposal and the Town of Marblehead, MA have partnered to offer commercial recycling to all businesses with the goal of diverting 100% of recyclable Old Corrugated Cardboard (OCC) materials from disposal.
We can now meet with interested commercial businesses to develop a program. However, before a recycling program can be developed, the company needs to consider a few items:
- Do you have a practical location where recyclables can be collected?
- Is there space outside the building where we can easily pick up the bins/carts/dumpsters?
- Is everyone in the business committed to a recycling program? A successful recycling program relies on committed company management, facility staff, and employees.

Benefits of Recycling:
- Save Money: Cardboard is bulky and takes up a lot of space in dumpsters. Depending on the market, businesses actually make a profit on the sale of collected cardboard. At the very least, businesses may eliminate disposal fees by preparing it for hauler pickups.
- Value Added Service: Recycling adds value to your business. Informing customers of your recycling efforts is never a bad thing. Many of your customers also made the shift to a greener lifestyle and will welcome your efforts.
- Divert materials from disposal:Cardboard is a bulky, highly recyclable waste. Keeping this material out of the waste stream will mean saving landfill space. Also, it reduces the amount of pollution because it's no longer incinerated.
